KEYNOTE 1 :  The AI Arms Race: Global Investment, Infrastructure and the Battle for Economic Leadership - Additional panelist TBC

Artificial intelligence is driving one of the largest capital investment cycles in decades, with implications reaching far beyond technology stocks. This interactive panel will explore the global race to build AI capabilities and infrastructure, how the U.S., China and international markets are approaching the opportunity differently, and what the extraordinary level of investment could mean for economies, industries and portfolio allocations.

Apurva Schwartz is a portfolio specialist for Harding Loevner; she has over 17 years of industry experience. Before joining Harding Loevner in 2020, Apurva was a principal at Goldman Sachs. She previously held senior equity analyst positions at NGM Asset Management and Citadel Investment Group and was a vice president at Institutional Capital Corporation. Apurva is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a B.A. in Political Science.

Daniel Santiago is Vice President and Sector Specialist at State Street Investment Management. Daniel is the subject matter expert and ETF strategist for sector ETFs, focused on growth, strategy, and education for direct retail and digital wealth platforms.
With deep expertise in capital markets and distribution, Daniel is a recognized “ETF influencer” and thought leader on sector investing. Prior to joining State Street in 2025, Daniel held executive roles at asset managers, ETF platforms and registered investment advisors – including Toews Corp., Tidal Financial Group and Astor Investment Management.
Daniel is an active board member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®) of Miami and Co-Head of Membership for Women in ETFs (WE®) South. Daniel is a graduate of Florida State University and holds FINRA Series 7/66 as well as the Certified ETF Advisor (CETF®) designation.

What should advisors and investors be preparing for as the economy, financial markets and monetary-policy environment continue to evolve? Ameriprise Financial Chief Market Strategist Anthony Saglimbene brings a national market strategist's perspective to the forces shaping the investment landscape and the opportunities and risks advisors should be watching as we head toward 2027.

Anthony Saglimbene is the Chief Market Strategist at Ameriprise Financial, and he has been with the firm for over 25 years. In this role, he provides analysis and research on market trends across asset classes, sectors and regions for the firm. 
Saglimbene is a member of the Ameriprise Global Asset Allocation Committee. He is responsible for directing the asset allocation strategy for the firm. The Committee provides asset allocation advice across a range of risk tolerances, time horizons and tax sensitivities.
Saglimbene’s views on the market and asset allocation are frequently seen in news media including, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Associated Press, U.S. News & World Report, Reuters and Investor’s Business Daily.

KEYNOTE 3 : "Leading a High Performing Advisory Practice" - Wassan Kasey (Capital Group

Great advisors are increasingly being asked to lead not only as financial professionals, but as CEOs of increasingly complex businesses. This interactive practice-management session explores the disciplines behind high-performing advisory firms, from establishing a clear vision and measuring what matters to developing strong teams, creating a differentiated client experience and building a business capable of scaling sustainably. The session will touch all four Capital Group practice-management pillars, with greater emphasis on Think Like a CEO and Optimize the Client Experience.

Wassan Kasey is senior vice president and advisor practice management consultant at Capital Group. She has 22 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for eight years.Prior to joining Capital, Wassan led the institutional and retail sales in the Western U.S. for Milliman's downside hedge strategies. Before that, she was a portfolio manager and analyst, then later became an advisor coach at Wells Fargo Private Bank.She started her career as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. Wassan is based in Los Angeles.


KEYNOTE 4 : "Beyond the 401(k): Advanced Retirement Plan Strategies for Business Owners" - Robert Penafiel  (Pension Services Inc.)

Help your business-owner clients uncover tax savings they may not realize are available. Through practical plan-design examples and case studies, this session will show advisors how customized retirement plans can help owners increase deductible contributions, reward key employees and better align retirement benefits with business goals. Just as importantly, advisors will leave with additional planning ideas and conversation starters they can use to deepen relationships with existing business-owner clients and attract more of them.

Mr. Robert Penafiel is an academic scholarship recipient and holds an A.A. in Computer Science from Miami-Dade College. He also holds a B.A. in Accounting from Florida International University with a Minor in Computer Science. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries and provides continuing professional education to CPAs and financial advisors. Mr. Penafiel has also been admitted to the Federal Tax Court and an expert in the retirement industry.Mr. Penafiel started practicing in the retirement industry in 1984, when he joined Pension Systems, Inc. He became the owner of that company in 1993 and merged with Snider Pension Services, Inc. to form Pension Services, Inc.(“PSI”), located in Miami, Florida. Mr. Penafiel is owner and President of PSI. The firm is a Third-Party Administration (‘TPA”) company, and it specializes in designing customized qualified plans for the greatest tax deductions and maximized contributions for business owners and key employees and their families. The firm currently administers over 2,500 retirement plans in over twenty-seven states including Puerto Rico. Recently the IRS selected PSI’s reports to train revenue agents and selected Robert Penafiel to educate and train over twenty Revenue Agents from the southeastern United States. Mr. Penafiel is also owner and President of Plan Documents, Inc. (“PDI”). The firm specializes in preparing qualified retirement plan and trust legal documents and representing clients with (“IRS”) and the and the Department of Labor.
